The new owner of this 07 BMW 328i contacted me about improving the condition of his paint. The previous owner had let the car sit under an oak tree for six months before selling it, resulting in lots of etching & contamination in the clear coat in addition to the marring caused by improper washing. Though the finish had been neglected , we decided not to go for full correction given how prone to marring this particular year and color of BMW paint is. To help the owner in keeping the car looking good without instilling more marring we decided to install CQuartz UK edition as our final step. CQuartz UK provides a clear layer which is 2-3µm thick and is more resistant to marring, etching and staining than the original clear coat. Additionally, CQuartz will protect this paint for approximately two years without the application of waxes or sealants.

Note that the vast majority of the defects in the paint were removed, while some of the etching and deep scratches were left in order to preserve clearcoat thickness:
